Contrary to the Willis Family tradition of obtaining the Christmas tree about an hour before Christmas Day begins, we have opted to get into Christmas Gear and obtain ours now, nearly three weeks before the day.
How about this one?
Video of our tree being doctored and wrapped (19MB), with snorting chainsaws giving that special festive ambience.
Tie it down!
Showing it some love… poor thing, mercilessly chopped from its roots…
Another emergency visit to Stats, the Happy Holiday Home Store, for another urgently required string of lights (the first string of 100 just didn’t cut it), with some more mind-numbing overloads of cheer:

…and baubles…

Decorated and done! A work of gaudy Christmas art, and a good bit of teamwork too. It’s even complete with the wife’s beautifully wrapped presents, though by that time I was conveniently cooking up a curry…
Note the new iPhone on the coffee table there, my latest toy. It’s quite incredible how much time you can spend on your phone, once you have one that actually does something. I’ve been Skype instant-messaging Jenny all day, while on the move: just like texting, but completely free! My aged trusty Nokia was well due for retirement, with encroaching battery / reliability / presentability issues, so this was a long-awaited upgrade for me.
Our Tune Of The Week is this haunting song from The Gadsdens, ‘Sailor Song’:
er… that video wasn’t very long! you should’ve done one of you decorating the tree and sped it up for our viewing pleasure
It’s long enough! (Should be 42 seconds.) What do you expect for only 19MB….
