Weekend at Seal Beach

Last weekend we spent a couple of days down at Seal Beach, near Bolsa Chica where we went on Labor Day. We met up with Katie and Josh, and were lucky enough to be able to stay in Katie’s father’s weekday abode, a well-appointed beach house about ten yards from the beach. (Thanks Rick!)

Curry nights

Last night’s effort were mini Onion Bhajis, made with gram flour from the Indian Sweets and Spices place we found the other day, and they were really rather good. They were intended as a starter, but after eating one-and-a-half onions’ worth between us, we decided that was enough thank you please.

Another 1960’s Volvo P1800

With every car restoration project, the more additional identical cars you have, the better. One car to restore, and ‘x’ donor cars (and ‘y’ extra miscellaneous parts). Sometimes the restoration focus shifts…: the original car has to be relegated to being a donor, when a better one comes along.

Camping in San Bernadino County
